Taking a research lab capstone course as a cell biology major at UC Davis

For our final, we were assigned to write a mini-Journal of Cell Biology article discussing our findings about Parkinson's disease-associated α-synuclein-induced cell toxicity and autophagy pathways that are triggered as a result of cell stress.

Throughout the course, we performed Western blot of our cell fractionation and protease protection experiments and used fluorescence microscopes.

Receptor-mediated nER-phagy and macroautophagy pathways protect cells from ER and nER-stress induced by α-synuclein

Summary Data Slides

The goal for each data slide was to summarize our experimental findings and connect our results to the larger hypothesis in one PowerPoint slide.
